ZipherX Multi ("the Software") is free, open-source software distributed under the MIT License. The Software is a cryptographic tool that enables users to interact with the Zclassic blockchain network. The Software is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any representations, warranties, or guarantees of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, completeness, or uninterrupted availability.
The Software is an independent, volunteer-developed project. It is NOT a company, NOT a financial institution, NOT a money services business, NOT a money transmitter, and NOT a regulated entity of any kind.
Privacy is a fundamental human right recognized by:
- Article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948)
- Article 17 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (1966)
- Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights
- The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution
- Numerous other international and regional treaties, constitutions, and legal frameworks
ZipherX Multi implements cryptographic privacy features that exist solely to protect this universally recognized fundamental right. Financial privacy is essential for personal security, protection from discrimination, defense against authoritarian overreach, and the preservation of human dignity.
The creation, distribution, and use of privacy-preserving cryptographic software is protected speech and protected expression under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, as established in Bernstein v. United States Department of Justice (1996) and affirmed in subsequent case law.
ZipherX Multi is a non-custodial wallet. The developer(s), contributor(s), and copyright holder(s) of this Software ("the Developers"):
- Have NO access to, custody of, or control over any user's private keys, spending keys, recovery phrases, passwords, or funds
- CANNOT freeze, seize, block, reverse, cancel, redirect, or in any way control any user's assets or transactions
- CANNOT identify, track, monitor, surveil, or profile any user or their financial activity
- Do NOT collect, store, process, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, metadata, usage analytics, telemetry, IP addresses, or any other information of any kind
- Do NOT operate, maintain, or control any central servers, databases, APIs, relays, or infrastructure of any kind
- Have NO ability to comply with any third-party request for user data because no user data exists
The Software operates as a local application on the user's device. All cryptographic key material is generated, stored, and processed exclusively on the user's own hardware.
ZipherX Multi connects directly to the peer-to-peer Zclassic network. There is no central server, no intermediary, no gateway, and no single point of control or failure. The Software is merely a user interface to interact with a decentralized, permissionless, censorship-resistant blockchain network that operates independently of any individual, organization, company, or government.
The Developers have no control over, responsibility for, or affiliation with the Zclassic network, its nodes, its miners, its consensus rules, or its governance.

"Cypherpunks write code. We know that someone has to write software to defend privacy, and since we can't get privacy unless we all do, we're going to write it. We publish our code so that our fellow cypherpunks may practice and play with it. Our code is free for all to use, worldwide."
-- Eric Hughes, A Cypherpunk's Manifesto (1993)
