While the electronic signature is tied to a person, a person can sign a document in different capacities. In my case, sometimes I sign documents as a private person, some documents as a freelance professional, and some documents are signed by me as the managing director of a company. All three signatures are cryptographically tied to my identity.
However, the visual appearance should be different in these cases:
- When signing as a private persion, I might want my picture as the logo, and all texts in German.
- When signing as a freelance professional, I have my own self-designed logo.
- When signing as the managing director of a company, I want the company logo and all texts in English.
Currently, pdf-over only allows one logo and a global setting for the language. It would be great if "profiles" could be added, where each profile would allow a different logo and different texts and languages. When signing a document, one could then choose which of the visual profiles should be used, although the cryptigraphic signature will always be the same.
