## Core Operational Rules for Autonomous Agents

1. **Mandatory Branching**: Never commit directly to `main`. Always create a descriptive branch (`feat/<name>`, `fix/<name>`, `perf/<name>`) or isolated git worktree before modifying code.
2. **Autonomous PR Lifecycle**: Commit to the feature branch, test thoroughly, push to origin, and open a public Pull Request via `gh pr create`.
3. **Zero Plaintext Secrets**: Never write API keys, passwords, or tokens to `.env` or source files. All secrets reside in the hardware TPM key vault (`atlas-vault get <KEY>`).
4. **Sovereign Voice Standard**: Strictly avoid em dashes and en dashes. Use commas, colons, parentheses, or hyphens. Ban AI clichés ('delve', 'tapestry', 'testament', 'crucial', 'beacon', 'elevate').
5. **Deterministic Verification**: Run verification tests before opening PRs and ensure all tests pass cleanly.
