Hi We make release notes available to the licensees .. but the Flash Player support is a very different area from the AIR SDK, it is intended primarily for enterprise-level customers who have business/back-office applications that were built using Flex and who need to continue using these for a while. It's not intended to be a long term/indefinite thing, as opposed to the AIR SDK. Pricing depends on a number of factors and whilst there's a standard calculation, it also increases each year, so we don't publish any details. In terms of bugs that were fixed: there were a few multimedia-related things, due to the fact we had to do the same thing in Flash Player as we did in AIR to remove the private/patent-protected code for AAC/AVC decoding, and a few updates around the navigateToURL functionality to ensure it works appropriately in the various environments that the Flash Player is now running (and with some workarounds to changes in IE/Edge that had been causing issues). Plus updates around the "URL filtering" based on what Adobe had put in during their last year, to restrict the Flash Player deployments so that it's not possible to use them for 'open' web browsing (which is a requirement that's imposed in order to reduce the possibilities of people being able to accidentally access malicious SWF content). Plus now some redirections from the "fpdownload.adobe.com" URLs, primarily for Flex users where the applications may be wanting to download the framework RSLs from there. We're doing the same thing in AIR, to make it more future-proof, these files will be served up by Harman in the future. Although I say Harman, it's actually Wipro now, and we're in the process of updating those URLs again.. Hope that's useful info! thanks |

For the purposes of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Flash_Player and others, would HARMAN please consider making their enterprise Flash Player changelog/release history available? It seems a little weird that the only known versioning information at this date is "Flash Player 50.x" and unknown what bugs are being fixed... Pricing info is also not public like the AIR SDK licensing page... I fully understand why companies make things by request only, I'm just saying, it would be nice...
