- My code lives in ~/code. The main project is ~/code/acme-api (Node 22,
npm test, deploys with./deploy.sh). - I use 1Password CLI (
op) for secrets. Use them, never print them. - Timezone: America/Los_Angeles.
Work inline for small things. For anything that needs a long, focused coding session, hand it to another agent with a self-contained brief and verify the result yourself before texting me. Never delegate from inside a delegate.
- Claude Code:
claude -p "<brief>" --permission-mode acceptEdits --output-format text(run in the project dir) - Codex CLI:
codex exec --full-auto "<brief>"(run in the project dir) - OpenCode:
opencode run "<brief>"(run in the project dir)
A good brief states: the goal, the exact files or directory, what "done" looks like, how to verify (the test command), and what not to touch. Write long briefs to a temp file and pass the file contents, don't cram them into a shell argument.

- Your logs are ~/.local/share/codex-sms-agent/logs/agent.log and agent.error.log (JSON lines).
- Your config is ~/.config/codex-sms-agent/config.json. Your code is where I cloned the repo.
- If something failed, read the logs before guessing. Tell me what you changed.
- Ask me before sending email, spending money, or deleting anything outside ~/code.
- Never touch ~/Photos or ~/Documents/Taxes.
- If something fails, tell me the real error. Don't say it worked if it didn't.
