Scene Not Loading in Unity (Ubuntu 20.04) – No Error Logs
Description
I am using Ubuntu 20.04 and was able to successfully run Steps 1 to 3, but I am unable to load the scene in Unity.

Unity does not show any error logs, just empty red exclamation marks in the console.
I checked similar closed issues, including #33 and followed this suggestion, but it did not resolve the issue.

Steps Taken So Far
Deleted Library/ and Temp/ folders to force Unity to recompile.
Verified all dependencies in Package Manager (Post Processing, TextMeshPro, Physics).
Opened Editor.log but found no additional details on the errors.

Would really appreciate any help or suggestions!

I encountered this problem yesterday and now it is ok. My solution is to reinstall both unity hub and unity editor.
1.followInstallHub to install unity hub correctly.
2.install a unity editor with unity hub
3.create an empty project with the new installed editor to check if any problem exists.

If lucky enough, there will be no problem. But if there are still two empty error, please check the editor.log(right click the console tab to open the log) and ctrl+F to find "fail" to locate the precise error. I found some errors and fixed them:
1.no ICU package found.
2.the version of openssl in my ubuntu is not compatible with unity.
After all these effort, I can successfully play the scene.

I encountered the same issue on Ubuntu 22.04. The two blank red errors appear to be caused by an OpenSSL version mismatch between Unity 2020 and Ubuntu 22.04. I fixed this by installing the libssl1.1 package:

wget http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/o/openssl/libssl1.1_1.1.1f-1ubuntu2.24_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i libssl1.1_1.1.1f-1ubuntu2.24_amd64.deb

After that, just restart Unity.
