Error processing Settings Catalog data - how to troubleshoot?

I'm testing IntuneCD and everytime it exits with this line being the last one:
[ERROR] Error processing Settings Catalog data:

Verbose switch doesn't add anything to it. Where do i look for clues on what went wrong?

While experimenting with a --prefix option I found out that many individual Settings Catalog policies are causing that error. Even some unassigned ones containing just a few settings.
But at the same time there are quite some policies that are processed without any errors... I'm completely confused :(

So I pretended I'm a python expert and after adding a couple of additional raise statements I was able to get to the cause of the error. It turned out to be MemoryError caused by this particular line of code:
