Switching screens

Hey, so I'm new to this app and thanks for building it, it's fantastic. I was just wondering when I'm on, say, Hermes, and it recognizes that I'm on there and, I'm talking, and then I'm shifting my screen to a different screen because I want to look something up, and then I stop. Is there a way that it then actually pastes it directly into Hermes? Because I can see that it recognizes the app, but it seems like it's not pasting it as I move around my computer or desktop.

What you describe is usually target-window behavior: the app can recognize the current application, but the paste operation goes to whichever window is focused when transcription finishes. When you switch to another screen or application, focus changes, so the text cannot safely be pasted back into Hermes unless the app remembers the original target.

As a workaround, start recording with Hermes focused and either return to Hermes before stopping or use an explicit copy step if the app provides one. The ideal feature would separate source-app detection from paste target and offer a lock-target option, without stealing focus unexpectedly.

The exact behavior may also depend on whether Hermes is a browser tab, native app, remote desktop, or Wayland application. Including that detail and whether the text appears in the clipboard would help distinguish target selection from clipboard or permission handling.
