I believe this was introduced purposefully to allow double clicking or clicking and dragging on the sidebar so it would act as any other part of the firefox window, but I constantly am un-maximizing my window by either doble click or click and drag. It would be great to have an option in the settings that lets us disable that behavior so accidental clicks on the sidebar don't minimize the window.
