It would be interesting but I don't wanna be the one to try haha. I can't even find an example of someone using composer in claude code

Since cli-proxy-api-plus is a precompiled binary, we can't easily modify its upstream provider handlers. Instead, we can bypass it by intercepting Cursor traffic in ThinkingProxy.swift and forwarding it directly to standardagents.

Here is the implementation plan:

1. Extend Service Types (AuthStatus.swift)

Add .cursor case to ServiceType:

3. Settings UI Input Row (SettingsView.swift)

Since we don't have a login CLI command, let users paste their Cursor API Key directly.
Add a row in SettingsView for .cursor serviceType with a SecureField and button to write a standard credential JSON file to ~/.cli-proxy-api/cursor.json:

4. Direct Routing in ThinkingProxy.swift

When ThinkingProxy intercepts a request for a cursor- prefixed model, bypass the local backend and forward it directly to standardagents:

@SirNosh @FahimAdib - Are you able to test by building the PR i have open for this? if not, DM me a cursor api key limited to 1$ and that should be enough for testing.

EDIT: I shipped as a BETA feature in latest droidproxy release. Please flip the beta switch on in the UI, then reapply custom models, add API key in UI, then try cursor models!

It is working well, but it confuses the mode it is in. It thinks it is in "Ask" mode of cursor and does not make changes till itt is said to be in "Agent Mode"

We might need to pass Droid's current mode through with the requests or something, or just do some level of prompt modification to add "you are in ask mode/you are in agent mode" based on Droid's mode when using Cursor models to work around this. I'll try it out in a local branch and see if that works.
