Ghosts

Ghosts can haunt wires, thus they can haunt radios, but not the air. There’s just too much of it. So they generally don’t haunt radios because people will tune to another frequency, move out of range, or...simply turn it off, which is pretty boring for the ghost! Ghosts are very limited in their ability to travel*. They can move from one haunted item to another by line-of-sight. They can’t or won’t haunt something that already has or had a personality, such as a resident of Solar Town. They can “travel” along a wire, but really they inhabit the whole thing. They can move between devices that are connected by wires, however. If the item they inhabit is destroyed (see Towerful fire) they disperse to the atmosphere. They can’t “haunt” air**, so simply get blown around until they encounter something they wish to haunt. A seemingly unlimited number of ghosts can inhabit the same item.

*except for something like a Compu4. **ghosts themselves tell legends of ghosts so powerful or emotionally distressed that they were able to haunt the air in small closets and unintentionally scare some children.
