Solar_Town
Solar Town and Canyon Town form one large town in contemporary times. Solar town is filled with mechanical people that rely on the sun’s energy for everything, among others. On a planet with almost no night, this is ok usually. It’s in the desert. Has some cactus condos, whatever they are. The town is reachable from the sea by a river which runs (and flows, depending on the season) back and forth from there and the cold side. The river runs through a long canyon. Solar Town extends into this canyon and becomes Canyon Town. Canyon town is full of goats, chickens and donkeys who are constantly having heated political disputes amongst themselves. A system of canals, fed by the river and controlled by small hydro-electric dams that supplement the non-solar residents use for power on both ends, run throughout the town. On the other end of the river, where it approaches the cold/dark side of the world, there is a large hill that is always covered in snow. There is a lift to get to the top, which folk will do for entertainment sometimes, like skiing.
There is a ruined building with a giant antenna on top which is sometimes still used to communicate with the other towns when the radio is not haunted.
Rock climbing/jumping is a way of life in Canyon Town, since roads can’t reach many locations, such as the Pidgin Peak Restaurant.
Solar Town is more accessible and contains some businesses and residences: Solar Town Sawmill & 3D Printing Solar Town Abandoned Raised Floor Facility Oblivion (a nice-ish restaurant chain.) The SolarBerry
"Tubing" is poular along the river.
Most manufactured goods on Town World come from Solar Town. Historically that was their purpose in the eco-economy. They also generally control the only accessible supply of fallen shooting stars of which many durable or mechanical items are made.
