Hi,
I have a question regarding the Claude Agent SDK and authentication.
I am developing a free, open-source desktop application built on the Claude Agent SDK. Currently, users can authenticate using their Anthropic API key. I would also like to support authentication through users' existing Claude subscription (i.e., allowing them to use their Claude plan within the application instead of an API key).
I noticed the documentation mentions that third-party developers generally may not offer Claude.ai login without prior approval, while the support article about using the Agent SDK with a Claude plan (https://support.claude.com/en/articles/15036540-use-the-claude-agent-sdk-with-your-claude-plan) suggests this may be possible in some cases.
Would this type of integration be permitted for a free, open-source application, or would explicit approval from Anthropic be required before implementing it?
Thank you for the clarification!
