Could expensive support TOPT 2FA?

I tried to use expensive with a Namecheap account which is set up to use TOTP 2FA rather than SMS 2FA. I get the following error:

> Could not white-list IP.
> Could not find the "Select Phone" section.

Is there any reason expensive is necessarily limited to SMS 2FA, or is it simply that support for the TOTP flow hasn't been implemented?
