Bind to specific IP/Interface?

I have installed this inside an LXC which has two virtual NICs. One has the internet on it with a gateway, the other one goes to a "retro" VLAN which will not have a gateway, but instead have the WebOne proxy server on it.

Trouble is, I dont see a way to bind the Port 8080 listener to a specific NIC or IP Address and I was wondering if there is a way to support this?

Default .NET's API calls to start TCP listener have ability to limit listening to fixed incoming IP addresses (used here and here), but they are not working. Or, at least, when I have tried to implement this, have no success. So probably it is not possible to bind the server only to a specific IP address or NIC.

I know .NET can bind to specific interfaces as I have other projects that can. I just dont know what it does, or how to do it under the hood since C# isnt my forte.

As a workaround, and only if you are using Docker to run webone, you can do this by binding the container port to only one of the NICs (via its IP address).

I have webone running on a box that has two NICs and each one is connected to a different subnet/VLAN so all my retro stuff is separated from my normal LAN. My Docker Compose file has the lines:

ports:
- 192.168.3.97:8080:8080

So the internal port of webone is only exposed on the NIC that has the IP address 192.168.3.97
