Make it work with the fivestar or rate module

On a custom Backdrop project we needed to collect user reviews together with their webform submissions. Unfortunately, the webform submissions are not entities, so such ready-to-use tools like the fivestar or rate module do not work. So probably this one https://www.drupal.org/project/webform_entity should be converted or maybe the module maintainers can come up with alternative solutions. Thanks for consideration!
