Car: Audi A4B5, 1.8t, 1998
Protocol: ISO 14230-4 (KWP FAST)
Cable version: ELM327 v2.3, Vgate Vlinker FS
Driver: CDM-v2.12.36.20-WHQL-Certified
Configs:
- Serial Port: AUTO
- Baud Rate: AUTO (10.4k not available)
- FAST
pyOBD is trying to connect and seems to do so for a split second ("Car connected!"), then goes back to "connecting..."
It reads everything listed in -Status-Description- with exception of the VIN.
Trace shows:
Level Message
1 App started
2 Connection attempt: 1
2 Connection attempt: 2
2 Connected to: COM6
1 Communication initialized...
2 Connection attempt: 1
2 Connected to: COM6
1 Communication initialized...
Then it just repeats it self/goes back to "Connection attempt: 1".
I tried with the car running and just turning the ignition on.
I tried changing the baud rate manually.
I tried changing to "NORMAL"
Edit 1: added information
Edit 2: Just tried it in my other A4B5 1.8t (1999, so face lift). Protocol is SAE J1850 PMW. Same configs but also same problem. I'll try to find a different driver.
Edit 3: I downloaded and installed the driver from the Vgate-Website. I updated the firmware of the VLinker. Still the same problem.
