After sending out distress alert, record button doesn't do anything

Steps to Produce/Reproduce

1. First step. Send out distress signal/alert to CRT members
2. Second step. hit the "record" button

Expected Results

To be able to record something to transmit to CRT members (a photo, audio, video)

Actual Results

When the "record" button is pressed, nothing happens.

Workarounds

I can't even begin to fathom
