Several users have reported that the video stream from the AI‑deck over Wi‑Fi freezes after running for a short time. The issue has been mentioned across multiple discussions, though consistent reproduction steps have been difficult to determine due to variations in setups and conditions.

If you're encountering this issue, please ensure you're using the latest release versions of all related components. Perform the following steps:

  • Install the latest release of cfclient and cflib (fetch from PyPI, e.g., using pip install cfclient)
  • Mount the AI-deck
  • Turn on the Crazyflie. Ensure the battery is fully charged. Charge the Crazyflie over USB.
  • Perform a firmware upgrade using the updated client, updating STM32, NRF51, and ESP32
  • Build and flash the latest GAP8 bootloader using your JTAG debugger
  • Flash the latest AI‑deck Wi‑Fi streamer example image to GAP8, either from the prebuilt release binary or from source
