Mac OS: Left mouse click stops working after wake from sleep

Describe the Bug/Issue

I let my Mac sleep overnight, woke it up this afternoon to do some work, logged in, and noticed my left mouse button no longer worked. Middle and right worked just fine. I was able to navigate around and select things with the keyboard but disabling Cursr did not resolve the issue. I had to reboot.

In the Release notes for 1.7.3-prerelease I noticed this line:

macOS: Fixed mouse clicks not working as expected when mouse is moved quickly from one position to another

Could this be related?

Steps to Reproduce

1. Install and configure cursr
2. Lock screen (Cmd+Ctrl+Q)
3. Wait for suspend? Not sure here
4. Log back in
5. Click anywhere on screen(s) with left (main) mouse button
6. Verify no response
7. Click anywhere on screen(s) with middle and right mouse buttons
8. Verify proper responses
9. Verify keyboard works as expected

Expected Behavior

Left mouse button to work correctly after suspend/resume (?)

Additional Context

Just locking the screen and immediately unlocking does not reproduce the issue. My assumption (!) is that my wiggling of the mouse as the system resumed triggered the "mouse is moved quickly" bug mentioned above, but I am not 100% certain.

Can't say for certain if it's related, there are so many fixes I don't always recall all the details about each. Will need to look into change history and do some debugging, but will see if I can have this fixed with next update

Got a repro of this yesterday without waking from sleep. Just in the middle of my working session, left (main) click stopped responding. middle and right still worked. it wasn't the hardware as I tried my trackpads too. Mouse keys worked for left click but what a pain! Also didn't want to restart. Finally stumbled on a way to recover: turn off Cursr's Accessibility access in System Settings and restart Cursr. Cursr will complain about the lack of Accessibility access and the left click will work again!

The behavior seems eerily similar to how pointer events are handled when connected to remote systems. When I have my mouse connected to machine A but controlling machine B, machine A needs to turn off the mouse pointer and mouse click events on its own machine. It seems like that was happening. Somehow mouse click events (main/left only) were just turned off. The pointer was still showing and middle and right were fine. So if there's code that tells Mac to turn off left clicks when the mouse is on a different system, maybe that is firing incorrectly even when not connected to a remote system? Not sure but thought I'd pass along the idea.

Interesting... atm can only say that there's definitely no 'turn off just left clicks' logic happening, it's a flag for all events (including keys and middle/right click) to 'consume' the event on local device when mouse is located in remote device. Whatever is happening, it's unlikely to be related to remote mouse handling logic because then middle and right clicks would also not work.

Just to confirm with the machine A-B example, is the left click not working while you're trying to left click within machine A or B?

I looked into the potentially related issue and it could be related, I can't be certain but there is something I can try with next update to see if it is. As I couldn't replicate the issue so far, I'll need to see if the issue goes away with the change in next update.
