This is the organization-wide default Code of Conduct for repositories
under the blackoutsecure GitHub organization. A repository's own
CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md (at the repo root or under its .github/ folder),
if present, overrides this one.
It applies in all project spaces — issues, pull requests, discussions, review comments — and in any public space when representing a blackoutsecure project.
We are committed to a respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of background, identity, or level of experience.
- Be respectful and constructive.
- Assume good intent and communicate clearly.
- Focus on what is best for the community and the project.
- Give actionable, specific feedback. Receive feedback gracefully.
- Credit others for their contributions.
- Harassment, discrimination, or personal attacks of any kind.
- Doxxing, threats, intimidation, or stalking.
- Spam, off-topic promotion, or malicious disruption.
- Sharing private or sensitive information without consent.
- Sustained disruption of discussions or reviews.
Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying standards and addressing incidents fairly. Possible responses include private warnings, edits or removal of offending content, temporary or permanent bans from project spaces, and escalation to GitHub Trust & Safety where appropriate.
To report a concern, contact the maintainers through the affected repository's private security advisory workflow (preferred — keeps the report off the public timeline) or via the channels listed in SUPPORT.md. Do not post Code of Conduct concerns as public issues or pull requests.
Reports should include a description of the incident, any relevant links or screenshots, and steps already taken to resolve the issue. We will respond as quickly as we reasonably can and will treat reports as confidential within the maintainer team.
