offer alternative projection/s

The WGS84 projection distorts areas/distances, especially at high latitudes. Would it be possible to offer options for printing images at 1 or a few alternative projections? I assume it is easiest if the source files would still be provided as they are now and the projection is an option in the GUI.

Potentially, although I'm not sure I'll have the time to implement this soon. I originally started out with some alternative projection options, but there were a number of issues with getting all of the components working together that would have taken some time to work out.

If this is implemented, source files would still be provided as they are now. If a few alternative projections are implemented/tested, do you have a sense of which ones would be the most useful?

I checked with some of our Y2Y partners and for the Room2Roam project. One that I and partners have used is the Canada Albers equal area projection, which would be generally good for high latitudes in North America:

I don't know if there is an equal area option that works well in other regions that have a lot of distortion with web Mercator or EPSG:4326. Maybe this 'equal earth' projection:
