Hi,
i'm currently experimenting with outboard captures in mixes.
If i load a Neuralrack plugin on a stereo track in ardour (be it lv2 or vst), it collapses the tracks output to mono.
Deactivating the plugin makes no difference.
The workaround in ardour is to set the internal pin connection to manual, create a second instance of the plugin and set the pins accordingly.
However, besides being tedious this method has some disadvantages in ardour itself (i.e. if you freeze that track the output of the second instance is scrubbed, which means only the left channel gets played back) and for the use case as a whole.
Since some of the outboard gear captures differentiate between left and right channel, only one of those profiles can be loaded for both channels. That takes away the possible (hopefully) subtle differences, which makes the specific device "vibey".
Are there any plans to make a stereo version for the plugins?
