BetterMediaInfo v0.8.0 doesn't display any data on Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS

Hi,

after installing BetterMediaInfo on my Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS it doesn't show any data on a mediafile regardless if

• single file or whole directory is dragged & dropped
• single file or whole directory is selected via the BetterMediaInfo UI

When using the same BetterMediaInfo Version on a Windows System performing the exact same tasks with the exact same files/directories it does work normally.

Tauri has this issue. Is that consistent?

On Windows, if you open the app right after a system restart, you will get a chance that the Tauri app shows a blank window. That's because the webview hasn't been initialized properly yet. If you open it again, it will work normally.

Neither

• open, close and re-opening,
• right click into the BetterMediaInfo UI and selecting reload nor
• install, uninstall and reinstall

BetterMediaInfo resolve the problem, neither a system reboot has any positive effect.

Additionally I figured out that changing the Appearance Settings isn't possible either.
Regardless which Mode I choose it neither changes the UI behavior nor does it save that setting.

Anytime I did change and save the settings the application will revert to the initial settings when closed and restarted.

Please try the snapshot build. It will hopefully resolve your settings persistence issue.

I could confirm that version v.0.9.0 do work as expected.
I just installed it a few minutes ago, so please allow some time for additional tests.

But currently both issues seems to be solved, this version either display the file information and also handles changes to the settings properly.
