Playing on linux, I get the following crash log when I am close enough to a BD tree for the interaction hints to show and look at a log:

Looks like there's an issue with the interaction hints. This case was specifically a linden but it happens with every one that I've tested. The block overlay works fine, I can look at a log in creative from 10m+ away without issue.
