Request for value_is (value_equals) or value_in_list operator

I'd like to request an operator that we could use to get specific records having value , including null, for a set of one or more variables when Rule Type = Record Data

The operator could be named 'value_is_x ' or similar.

It would allow implementation of a few rules in a better way.

the idea it would take input in the rule like (It would be an operation/not a check operator)
{ "name": "PPSTRESU", "operator": "value_equals", "value": "3" }
and it would return a series with only the records that are equal to the value

An example like { “name”: “PPSTRESU”, “operator”: “value_equals”, “value”: null } would return only the records that are equal null.
An example like { “name”: “$var_list”, “operator”: “value_equals”, “value”: 3 } would return only the records that are equal to the value for any of the variables in the list.
I assume, since the Rule Type = Record Data, the corresponding variable (or variables) that satisfy the condition will be listed in the output.

Maybe value_in_list of values will be more powerful and similar to implement!

@mhungria Can you give an example rule and the standards / rule ids this would apply to?

For instance, CG0291 (CORE-000787) is easier to implement with 'value_in_list' of values than with a regex.

This will allow a set of custom rules that are similar in nature.
Note that some custom rules can be build programmatically based on BC or any other type of conditional CT.
