Prevent all line changes

Prevent all changes to the number of lines.

No metadata element can contain a newline.

For example:

• Pressing enter
• Pasting from the clipboard
• Backspace, delete (when highlighted or not)
• Dragging with the mouse
  • Probably disable that entirely
