Prism type: reflection vs. non-reflection

An experiment setup for SPR uses either reflection or non-reflection prism type.

• How does the prism type influence the experimental results?
• What needs to be modified/added in the code/equations to reflect (no pun intended) the type of prism being used?

So far through my reading I am unable to confidently justify what exactly defines a non-reflection prism type however the type of prism definitely has impacts on SPR. So far most Kretschmann configuration systems have either the Triangular prism or the semi-circular prisms being used and this somewhat has an impact that I could probably recalculate to get an equation that can be coded into the software to have choices such as:

• Refractive Index of prism (and therefore its total internal reflection angle)

• Prism shape (Triangular or Semi Circular which may be altered due to incident light angle which brings me to...)

• Light Incident angle (or maybe this has already been in the software but I have overlooked)
