Refinements for LOINC validation

Not recognizing valid LOINC answer codes. I don't know whether this a problem with Regenstrief, UMLS, or the validator. E.g., LA11504-0, LA18715-5, LA18712-2.

Otherwise, an excellent, intuitive, and low-noise tool!

Thanks for the feedback @jlyle1! I'm having some trouble making sense of the LOINC codes you listed. For example:

1. Querying search.loinc.org for LA18712-2 I see no hits.
2. A google search for LA18712-2 loinc similarly turns up no results except a pair of PDFs on the HL7 web site.

I'm happy to be educated: what are these codes, and are they part of LOINC? If so, which version?

For reference: the currently hosted C-CDA scorecard is using UMLS 2012 AB vocabularies (SNOMED, LOINC, RxNorm).

Josh,

Codes beginning "LA" are LOINC answers. I don't see them exposed on the
LOINC web search, but if you know the question, it will display the answers
on the details page. LA18712-2, for instance, is in the answer list for
71581-3 http://search.loinc.org/search.zul?query=71581-3 Crew member
response role NEMSIS.

They are in RELMA as well, but the codes are not displayed (that I see);
you have to use the Access file.

Dan, do you know how UMLS imports LOINC, and why the answer codes might not
be there?
