Ability to add multiple instances of the a meta-field on same page

I am a new user of this plugin and looking for adding multiple instances of a metadata field on same page, for the following use-case ...

I track movies that I want to watch and those I have watched using dataview tables.I use inline metadata (watch::) for this purpose.

For this, same note has multiple instances of this inline metadata field as I keep on adding to my same wishlist as & when I come across them.

When I tried using metadata edit to add a new entry (by using template), it replaced all of my existing entries with the new one that I created.

Do we have any way I can add new field on a page using template option, if the page already has pre-existing fields having the same name ??
