Is it possible to add an opportunity to get versionCode and versionName from project file, something like version.properties (and also increment it in that file) ?

I can't find a way to get the version code and version number from project file, it'll be more comfortable(imho) to read from version.properties file, for example I have a version 23(2.3.0)  now and I am integrating the action after My app was released.
