Stash capability without hiding.

This is one of the few extensions that work reasonably with the TST having the ability to maintain the structure like the Tab Session Manager but with a good view of what is stored, the problem is that the system has a very significant performance impact when it has many hidden tabs

My suggestion is to implement a functionality similar to the "Tab Stash" addon in which you save your tab groups without having to hide or even leave them open, having a good view of the stored tabs and being able to restore them whenever you want but keeping the structure intact. I think this kind of tab groups would be really nice, especially for groups that you don't use very often because keeping the tab structure is crucial and helps a lot for everything to make sense as some kind of your past fingerprint there.

The problem with saving tab state, closing the tab, and then re-opening the tab is that none of the tab's extension data from other extensions can be stored without additional work from at least one of the other extension's maintainers. Either I would have to accept that the state from other extensions is lost, which doesn't fit your needs, or I'd have to pick and choose which addons to support.

Perhaps you could give ftt a try. It's a very barebones version of TST but faster, at least last I compared them.

Alternatively, Sidebery is a more fully-featured addon with tab trees, groups, and saving/loading state.
