[Feature Request] Display the total/sum when filteres are applied for an overview

When filtering (tags, budgets, categories, etc.), records display the sum/total at the top. This would be useful for getting an overview.

This coult be useful but it's not easy to compute. The searched transactions are paginated, meaning that if a search returns 1000 transactions, I will only get the first page (50 items), and load more pages as you scroll down. Loading all 1000 to add them all up can take a lot of time...

So the options are to either only show a total if the search return <50 transactions, or have a dedicates button "Show transactions total" which the user deliberatly clicks and accepts the wait.

I am probably out of depth here:

1. Is there no API endpoint available that the app could leverage?
2. Or create a route or something that would allow for a lightweight SQL querying to calculate the sum/total?
   1. Request paginated results as usual.
   2. Call this new route to fetch and display the total at the top or something alike.
3. The app can cache summary stats for common filters (e.g., current month, categories, and tags) on the backend and return them instantly when applicable (Pico already has and uses a database; maybe too complicated?)
4. Your proposed solution works (maybe some optimizations can be done to speed it up perhaps). I wish I had some background to assist you in implementing it.

There is not API provided by Firefly III for this.
Pico does not connect to the Firefly database directly (so no SQL query option) and only consumes the REST API.

Caching will not help since there are over 10 individual filters( each with dynamic values and which can also be combined together). Also a simple transaction add/edit/delete should invalidate sums; it would be almost imposible to determine which caches to clear.

In short there are only 2 options:

• open an issue with Firefly asking if he's interested in making a endpoint identical to /v1/search/transactions but which returns the total amount
• manually fetch all the filtered transactions and add them up on the frontend
