autospec for files without tar packages

Hi all,
I have a package named uhd while building this via autospec I got an issue that it has missing dependency for pkgconfig(liberio) and I found this
(https://github.com/EttusResearch/liberio) which does not have a tar file but a zip file ..

So Can Anybody help me with building this package(liberio) using autospec. !!

Autospec does have support for zip files as well...

Can you provide more details about the problems you encountered when running autospec for liberio?
