Irritating "empty data set" notice from facter

Ever since merging in some upstream stuff a week or two ago, boxen always chatters about

Fact file /opt/boxen/repo/facts.d/example.yaml was parsed but returned an empty data set

I can't make it shut up. Terminal output I've seen pasted around the web suggests that this notice is popping up for a lot of other people but it bugs me that I don't understand facter at all.
