Not sure if I am screwing up on setup, but snowrunner is not detecting it as wheel, if I do the reg-edit hex change I can get it recognized as a wheel, haven't checked if ffb works.(If it doesn't I'll reply here by tomorrow) Not sure if this Dll would work for that.

I recently updated the guide to mention that the "wheel" configuration for vjoy requires a custom configuration binary that's included in this kit. If the regedit hack worked for Snowrunner, this custom configuration will as well. Please try it and let me know if it doesn't work (I think using that tool will overwrite your manual registry changes).

When I get home from my afternoon run I'll try, I think I have to wipe drivers clean and reinstall since gremlin stopped wanting to load. (And that was after finding out that ffsake script like to cause restarting issues). However while playing with pxn profiles I double checked registry and my vd6 suddenly had OEM data, a quick 03 to 43 and my wheel works "natively" with ffb, so ... I still want remapping so I do some testing.

Had a chance before I leave. 1 didn't see custom vjoyconf warning when I install yesterday (or day before). 2 said file is not included in custom gremlin. 3 had to copy to vjoy bin install location (renamed old one). Had to switch ffsake engine to forwarder to solve shaking (and will have to tune a fair bit to get similar/better feel). Rest of my issues would be on the joystick gremlin side. IS WORKING CORRECTLY! Thanks! As a side note, have you thought of checking compatibility with gremlinEx, his branch(Muchimi) has undergone alot of work and has more features?

Can you tell me more about the restarting issues? I can take a look.

Shaking - with a particular game or multiple ones? There's a known issue with the friction effect and the reducer engine. If that's the cause, lowering the gain to 5% in FFFSake plugin options should help.

I did look into GremlinEx, but the code is changing all the time and it will be difficult for me to keep supporting more than one feeder (like Gremlin). I can add a plugin and rely on community reports for discovering issues.

So since using the correct vjoyconf I have had no restart issues. The change in gain fixed the wheel and ffb felt normal. (That was the shaking,virtual death wobble) My only issue now is game will pick up my wheel(regedited) everytime, but the vjoy is picked up 30% of the time(seems to randomly just get ignored, sometimes toggling inputs in game fixes it, sometimes it just vanishes from the games view). Not sure what is causing that. I'll try gremlinEx and get back to you on the plugin, the newer vjoy is picked up fine when you copy the interface DLL over. I really like UCR, so I might try to get it updated and working, mainly been learning java, so will be some work for me.

I'll put this here since this is somewhat related, have you looked at HidMaestro? The developer had a breakthrough recently that you might be able to take advantage of. He also has updated his PadForge app(remapper) to use hidmaestro instead of vjoy and vigem now. It was only updated( released) last week so he is currently still doing updates, most bugs have been worked out. My only problem is he is looking at entry level remapping for beginners and I would like more options like UCR or gremlin. Anyway have a great week!

I didn't know of it - thanks for the heads-up! I'll keep an eye on it; once it is a bit more mature I can evaluate what benefits it has over vJoy and Joystick Gremlin.
