Anchor not working?

I'm trying to write a regex to match a line that begins with something, but both \A and ^ seem to simply suppress all matches.

Does relint use nonstandard regex compilation options? Is there some way to debug this, e.g. with a verbosity level?

Still, this might be common enough to warrant at least being mentioned in the docs.

@codingjoe any idea why \A (which should always match the beginning of a line) didn't work for me? And is there any kind of "debug" logging that I could turn on in the future?

That's wrong. \A matches the beginning of the entire file/text. See this answer on StackOverflow.

I tested with this pattern, and it worked just fine: \A123

Also, there is no way to really debug regexes. They either match or they don't.

...oops, that's embarrassing, I essentially just had ^ and \A swapped in my head. Thanks.
