Power Boost

I'm looking to avoid using the Power Boost and just have the battery be monitored with the chip by the Raspberry Pi. Would that be possible?

You're going to need some logic between the Pi and the battery I'm afraid. I'm no expert, but you need something to regulate the power going to the Pi.

I was planning on using a voltage regulator to step down the voltage to 5V. Because I’m using two 3.7V lithium ion batteries.

Thanks David I have not had time to work on this project for a while and I realize that it needs some updating for new Pi models and versions of Raspbian
