In Poland, a new project has recently emerged resulting in the encoding of some 20k Polish folk tunes in EsAC format. The EsAC file format differs from its 'old version' in the number of spaces in the KEY field and the old EsAC -> krn converter does not work for this version of files.

For the record. Here are some solutions:

esac2hum expects the first digit of the time unit in column 12 of the line starting with KEY (first column is 1).

esac2hum does conversion of accented characters (line 713ff in esac2hum.cpp). This results in invalid utf-8. As a workaround, change the printChar function to:

void printChar(unsigned char c, ostream& out) {
    out << c;
}

which simply copies the stream of bytes.

Conversion of tuplets (notes in parentheses) is not implemented in esac2hum. There seems no simple workaround for that.
