New Default Dataset...

Thanks to the (hopefully temporary) death of DKRZ's S3-Service our default dataset is dead again...

I would like to have something with more than one variable and a not too crazy resolution so that it can load in reasonable time even on mobile device. Of course the source should remain stable...

If we can't anything which fits this description I would propose something from Google's CMIP6-Pool, here are a few suggestions:

I personally like the last one a lot. Even if we find another one I would probably edit our default catalog a bit and add those in there. Currently, it is focused a lot on tas/tos and I think we should diversify it a bit.
