Glossy buttons and white background borders

I noticed just a few buttons (combos/selects/drop-downs) are using some sort of glossy background images, and also that there's a small part of the buttons that or neither transparent nor coloured dark. Will you keep this effect or this is just the old demo?

Also, the demo is not responsive? Is this version of twitter bootstrap responsive?
