As stated by @luisliuchao here, currently stylefmt forces the alphabetical order as a quick & dirty solution. There a deprecated support for archived stylelint feature stylelint-declaration-block-order. That feature is nowadays stylelint-order and needs to be built separately.
I have an idea how to do this and will do it sooner than later but PRs are always welcome :)
