Problem with a PDF file

I tried to fix existing files with the command line tool but the tool ran into some error on a PDF file. The file didn't have any special characters. 21 characters, with one uppercase character and an underscore.

Unfortunately I was quite busy at the time and didn't have time to troubleshoot, so I don't have any more details to tell about this possible bug. I didn't even save the error message anywhere 😑 I just renamed that file manually and after that the command line tool worked well.

This ticket is only a small reminder that there might be a problem with PDF files. I will report more if I ever run into the problem again or have time to recreate the problem somehow.

It seems that I haven't used enough PDF files with this plugin and haven't still noticed this behaviour. Thanks for reporting.

I'll continue this conversation as we too encountered the issues with PDF-files here at Bond when using the plugins wp-cli features.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

1. Deactivate Sanitize Accented Uploads plugin if activated.
2. Upload the test PDF file.
   
3. Activate Sanitize Accented Uploads plugin.
4. Run cli.
   
5. Fail.
   

The used example file:
Example Ääkkösiä_testi.pdf (note that GitHub has sanitized the filename so it should be renamed back to "Example Ääkkösiä_testi.pdf" for testing)

I can confirm that this also happens with MS Office files (at least doc, docx).

WP doesn't save any metadata for non-media (image, video) files in the postmeta table under _wp_attachment_metadata and thus wp_get_attachment_metadata() returns false.
