Setup fails ("Check the logs")

Check Settings → System → Logs for trimlight.

Common causes:

  • Wrong Client ID / Client Secret
  • Incorrect Device ID
  • API unreachable (cloud outage or network issues)

Built‑in presets empty

Some devices do not return built‑ins from /device/get. The integration falls back to a static list, so built‑ins should still appear after refresh.

Custom presets empty

Press Refresh Presets. If still empty, verify the device returns presets via API.

Actions / HACS validation errors

If validation fails due to brands, ensure your PR to home-assistant/brands is merged.

  • Integration errors in custom_components/trimlight
