Many thanks for posting the video and the files here on GitHub.
Since I had zero metalwork fabrication tools I got the metalwork made by JLCPCB.
They couldn't do the bends on the main pedal sides for mounting to 2020, but I figured I'd simply just have them made without and mount them to the sides of the 2020 extrusion, I didn't fancy trying to bend those 12 tabs and I'm glad I didn't.
The load cell mount bracket they also couldn't bend, so I had that made flat and I've been putting off bending it because I thought it wouldn't go well, and of course, it didn't.
I was unable to bend it evenly, it requires a huge amount of force to do and with limited tools I tried for an hour and gave up with a very sorry liking bit of metal.
But, there's somebody on YouTube who it looks like they've taken a lot of "inspiration" from your design and produced a 3D printed version of it, this is not an attempt to "dob them in" but if they have take inspiration, they really should credit.
But....
I'm now modifying their 3D printed load cell mount to see if it's at all possible to use it without it falling apart 2 corners in, a few people have built them and I've not seen anybody say anything about them failing, so I have nothing to lose by trying!
They also have a rather neat firmware for it, with a nice calibration html page that talks to the usb serial port to manage the settings of the pedal.
For anybody thinking of building these pedals they are extremely sturdy and the options for customising the feel is top notch. If you don't have metal fabrication skills you definitely want to get somebody to bend the metal after they've cut it.
