Thoughts on Proscenium design / architecture?

Very similar sort of project. P2P as the foundation with optional relays for discovery.

Maybe some good ideas worth borrowing, or not.

Design not as enlightened as Rostra, but I don't expect anyone to trust me on that.

I'm also not interested in DMs, voice calls and stuff like that at all.

And at the end of the day, they are both just corresponding authors little notebooks, because no one else will realistically going to use it. :D

I think it has some excellent ideas. For example, the default connection is p2p and then discovery servers are optional add-ons. I think rostra is meant to work like that too, but the current rostra implementation and docs don’t make it clear if it actually does work like that.

Rostra uses Iroh, so everything is p2p. The identity information is published via Pkarr which is censorship resistant, and is also circulating between peers.
