Good catch. But I'm not 100% sure if this is needed.

As long as LIMIT_VALUE is a float (in the file as an example: LIMIT_VALUE = 500. Python should be able to do the proper float comparison. Not too familiar with Python but I also believe Python supports comparisons across numerical types:

Cool, perhaps it's a function of the OS I'm runing Python3 in. In Windows, it complained that LIMIT_VALUE was not a float, and that it could not evaluate the FLOAT > LIMIT_VALUE because it interpreted LIMIT_VALUE as a string.

I run Ubuntu as well, but I haven't tried it there.
