Screen goes blank after switch has been pressed?

Hey,

I have a raspberry pi successfully running the code on boot and when I connect a 10k resistor acting as a pull down resistor to the switch pin and the other end of the switch to ground.
When I press the switch the screen resets and blanks, however the led pin pulses high as it should.
Would anyone know the cause of this and how to fix it?

Try removing the pull up resistor and wire the switch to the switch pin and ground. I've configured that pin in a way which negates the use of a pull up resistor in the circuit.
