Run from backend

Does anyone have (or can point me to) a workflow to just run the backend of this? I'm having serious issues with installing and running the js/react frontend when I just want to develop in python. I assume it does:

Data pre-process -> finetune acoustic -> generate alignments -> finetune vocoder

but there's no main.py and __init__.py  is empty so I'm having trouble putting the pieces together
