Binding Support for MdiContainer Children

I'm unable to bind to the Children Property of the MdiContainer. Is it a dependency property ?

In MdiContainer.cs => public ObservableCollection<MdiChild> Children { get; set; } ， Children is source. And for example ,DependencyProperty ThemeProperty is a dependency property. My problem is that I can't bind to it because it isn't a dependency property. I've tried to implement it but I'm having issues making ObservableCollection (i.e a generic collection) a dependency property.

Although, now I'm considering adding an intermediary property. I was just wondering if someone else has done it. So I can save myself the stress.
